STEP BY STEP | WINTER 2266, CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE.

Ah, yes, yes indeed. Simply marvelous to find yourself in the control of your very own little planet. Gothos is her name and to know I, Trelane retired from service, is the chieftain to this maiden that gives me the supreme satisfaction of knowing no man will ever have her. I only hold the key to this lively little planet. Listen to me, talking about it as though she is living and breathing like a woman or young lass. Je l'adore absolument! Who would ever think that I would be destined for great things such as this?

The castle is filled today not of Mozart but of Scarlatti, who I truly believe is a genius. I shall have to remind myself in a few years to play this performance directly. Oh. How fallible of me. Enough of talking about myself (though the thought is charming), but I must speak of the progression of Gothos herself. It a very interesting tale indeed. Let us begin.

The first and initial makings of the planet proved to be most distressing as her atmosphere was unfit for any suitable living by mere mortal or any species for that matter. It displeased me so I began work on fixing it where she could be breathe with the finest and freshest clean air possible. Naturally, I had it where if by choice, one could breathe clean air and then, if they were cruel, to partake of poisonous materials to kill them within seconds. Diabolic, I must admit, but factual.

Next came the issues of what terrains should be dealt with. Remembering well that I had made her 'diabolic' to where a species needing oxygen would likely perish, it was made with the realms of volcanic like substances. Realizing that if ever I wished to have contact with the outside world, Gothos could not be sinister in appearance. It was for this reason I made her oasis like in for those who would see what she could be. Lush with vegetation, beautiful skies, cool streams within bodies of water, land formations matched only beneath that of God himself.

Last would come the castle and only until a few months ago was Gothos willing to allow me to place it. Highly frustrating it truly was, filled with misère et peine until I was finally able to master it completely. Now, the castle is completed and with that, I can only think to say that la conquête est la vie! when pertaining to this grand scheme I have concocted.

Within the walls, decorations and decor of the past drape all over. Flags of conquest, statues of those conquered as well as a harpsichord that I am absolutely smitten with. Now, the new year is coming and I, the Squire of Gothos (fancy title, that. must remember), cannot wait to "open house" in a manner of speaking.

However, there is one lasting and lingering thought in mind. I have seen her gliding in space like an ancient Sloop of War. I must have her for she comes as no new surprise to the manifestations within my brain. Her name is well known to me, but she will be gladly met with warm embraces. It lingers off the tongue like fine wine or well written literature.

ENTERPRISE.

First Entry of The Artful Dodger, Esquire.

Well, I have no clue really of what to say. I mean, livin' in NYC isn't all that bad, but still . . . if it weren't for Nance and Rose (mainly Nance), I think I'd be going nuts. Don't get me wrong. I love my little room in the apartment building complex -- hell, I get my own double size bed. Fit for a bloody king. -grins- It's good to be the king. Well, I haven't much of anything else to say. Til later and I hope soon enough, this is the Dodger signing out.

T.A.D.

PS. Rose, Nance...you two up for something?
